Preview and production
Keep review and live environments clear, safe and predictable.
Preview for review
Use Preview to review before release. Configure its site ID and API base explicitly. Content visibility, retention and refresh depend on the institution’s environment.
Production for the public
Production may use GovCMS Cloud or institution-selected infrastructure. Database provisioning, API reachability, secrets, backup ownership and release procedures must be confirmed for that deployment.
Release checklist
- Confirm the correct site ID and API URL.
- Check production renders without preview sample data.
- Verify metadata, links, media and accessible error states.
- Agree on refresh and rollback ownership.
- Confirm responsibility for secrets, backups and monitoring.
